On Episode 19 we are joined by Dezi Abeyta, AKA The Dad Nutritionist. He is a new father, registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), and the owner of Foodtalk Nutrition LLC. Foodtalk is a creatively branded company that consults with professional sports and athletic teams, families, individual needs, as well as engaging in speaking opportunities. Dezi is an outspoken advocate for new dads and athletes and promoting a curious, playful relationship with food no matter the client or setting. 

We talk about Dezi’s diverse background working in eating disorder treatment/recovery, raising a young daughter, and working with elite athletes. Throughout all of it, you’ll hear useful tips and insightful advice about how to become more curious and cultivate a more compassionate attitude towards food, movement, and your body.

On Episode 18 we are joined by non-diet dietitian Amy Hanneke. She’s currently based in Denver, CO after recently relocating from southeastern Idaho. She specializes in eating disorders and women’s health. She has a passion for helping restore women’s relationships with food and their bodies and find a flexible and nourishing eating pattern. We chat about her discovery of intuitive eating and a non-diet approach during a particularly stressful period in her life. She shares some great insight about body trust and how to nurture a more positive relationship with food and your body. On Episode 17 we are joined by Hannah Meier for a conversation about disordered eating, hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA) and women’s health, and the challenges of recovery from HA and disordered eating. 

Hannah is a registered dietitian living in Boston, MA where she works for a health food company by day and runs a private nutrition practice, Nutrition in Real Life, by “night” (and weekends). She is passionate about demystifying nutrition and breaking down BS diet rules, helping everyone find joy in food again and peace with their bodies. Hannah is openly recovering from 10 years of hypothalamic amenorrhea and hopes her story will encourage other women to feel less ashamed about their hormonal health and more empowered to live a fulfilling and unencumbered life.
